TAKUMI’s Warping IP is a highly efficient hardware IP solution for real-time image warping and distortion correction. Built on the proven technology of the GSHARK-TAKUMI Graphics IP family, which has shipped more than 100 million units worldwide, it delivers high-performance image transformation for a wide range of camera and display applications.
Warping IP enables distortion correction for images captured through wide-angle and fisheye lenses in a wide range of camera products and systems. It also supports image transformation for display applications such as automotive Head-Up Displays (HUDs), projectors, and VR devices, delivering highly efficient real-time processing.
TW290 and TW270 are “right-sizing” IP products based on the flagship TW330 IP, optimized for functionality, performance, and silicon area. TW290 and TW270 focus on delivering sufficient performance and essential functionality, resulting in reduced silicon area and lower power consumption.
Leveraging TAKUMI’s proprietary GPU processing technology, TW290 performs on-the-fly coordinate generation, transformation, and correction in real time, supporting a wide range of applications and customer requirements.
Supports complex distortion correction and transformations, including irregular shapes and high-order polynomial models
Equipped with a geometry engine leveraging TAKUMI’s GPU expertise for efficient real-time processing
TW290: 8M–32M pixels/frame (4K UHD at 60 fps, 8K UHD at 15 fps)
TW270: 2M–16M pixels/frame (Full HD at 120 fps, 4K UHD at 30 fps)
Advanced cache architecture enables high-performance, low-latency real-time processing
